Stage Two

December 8, 2008

Right, time to make more of an effort with this blog i think. We have had our first three meetings and so far i think we can call it a success. In the first one we discussed the Guilds No Platform Policy, with most people being against it.

At the second meeting we did ‘should prostitution be legalised’ and a talk on the Death Penalty

Finally at our third meeting we discussed the impact of cheap alcohol and drinks deals and the importance of the NHS and the governments decisions regarding organ donation.

The first meeting back will be in the first week of term, so the 18th of Jan and we are working on a better location, we will let you know where this is as soon as we have it sorted.

At the second meeting back we are hoping to have a speaker, we will also keep you up to date on how that progresses as well.

We are going to be taking part in the Guilds get involved campaign next term and running taster sessions and have a stall at the refresher fairs so hopefully we will begin to grow the society and bring in a larger range of views and opinions. Also as a committee we will have more time, so we will actually be able to promote the society a little more.

Hope everyone has a good christmas.
